Wedding Cakes & Registering Part 1!

We have a wedding cake! I seem to have a trend of picturing something in my head and going for exactly that... no messing around here! We ordered our cake from The Bavarian Cakery, the same baker my friend Julie used - I have been thinking about her wedding cake for two years now so you know it's going to be good! I went in knowing exactly the cake I wanted and pretty much exactly what I wanted it to look like (I may or may not have been that crazy person that brought in a scale print-out of what I wanted the cake to look like). We did take the time to sample the other cakes available, but let's be honest: I finished none of the samples except the one I came  in for! Geoffrey, however, did a great job finishing his sample plate! I think this was definitely his favorite party of wedding planning so far.

Pre-cake tasting snack at Wendy's so the cakes weren't unfairly judged!

Flipping through TONS of sample pictures!

Patiently waiting to sample some cake!

Wedding cake = ordered!

Last weekend we decided to start our wedding registry! Our first stop was Bed Bath & Beyond at Town and Country... after 30 minutes of being followed by a man that worked there who would not let me hold the scanner we got preeetty fed up and left claiming there were just "too many decisions to make!" As soon as we left I texted a few friends to see if they had ever had that problem - of course, they hadn't!!! We were super frustrated, so we hopped in the car and decided to call another BB&B to see if they had the same r-i-d-i-c-u-l-o-u-s policy. Fortunately for us, there are awesome people working at the Cypress location... they were SO helpful and definitely understood our need to be in charge of the gun! Two and a half hours later, we had most of our first registry done! It was SO fun!

I'll let you guess who had control over this little baby 90% of the time...

Yay future hubby & wifey!

Love, Nicole
